IT’S The FIRE THAT MADE US
The sculptural furniture pieces are crafted from wood, then wrapped in steel wire and subsequently burned. Through this process, they gain their unique structure. This not only creates an appealing visual form but also adds a deeper layer of meaning. The burning process becomes a social event, inviting people to gather and experience the fire as a communal ritual. In this way, fire is integrated not only as an artistic medium but also as a cultural and social element.
Fire, humanity's first tool and source of life, has always played a central role in our existence. These works invite viewers to reflect on the cultural and symbolic dimensions of fire. By being presented as part of the exhibition, they offer insight into the profound connections between humanity and fire, encouraging a critical engagement with this element.
